Congrats to the dems for running a far better campaign. But, now the children are running the school, and maturity is gone for a short term. I predict we'll see the same childish whining, immaturity, nastiness, HYPOCRISY, etc. that the dems are famous for. Sadly, the country will be the worse for it. Sometimes, you just can't underestimate the stupidity of those in power and that of the people.

Keep dreaming, dude. I think all that whining and immaturity and nastiness (paging Karl Rove -- please pick up the white courtesy robocall) and that big-letter HYPOCRISY are public staples of your Repug pals. That's why the people, shaking the catapulted propaganda out of their eyes, intervened.

It's too bad Bush cut the guts out of the Geneva Conventions. If he hadn't, you could stop torturing yourself with such delusional fantasies.

Dems define hypocrisy. Whining about Foley, yet Studds, who was actually guilty of molesting underage paiges, was protected and rewarded with chairmanship of a committee. William Jefferson, caught with thousands of $$ in his freezer was protected. Alcee Hastings, one of only six federal judges impeached (bribery) may be put ahead of Harman for a chair. Good grief, I enjoy your enthusiasm, but you are looney beyond comprehension.

Simply put, dems are liars and hypocrites. Had it not been for all the dems lies during the campaign, aided by all the major networks and newspapers, they wouldn't have won. The dems barely did, and congrats to them again. But, now, they have to do something. Heaven knows what they are going to do because not a single one ran on anything other than a variation on the "I hate Bush" them. But, now is the chance.

FYI, the Geneva convention does not, and never did, apply to terrorists. One question, are the terrorists we are fighting evil people?

I'm looney? Yet you think the Democrats are the party that has shown the most corruption, bribery, and unethical behavior the last six years? Have you been a coma? I'm not saying the Dems don't have some black marks here and there (they are, after all, still politicians), but those stray infractions pale in comparison to the Repug's black holes of massive trough snorting, their steady pandering to special interests and corporations, and their ongoing looting of the national treasury.

I'm looney? Yet you think the Dems run on Bush-hating and were aided by (cue sinister music) the "liberal media"? No, not even the usual Rovian bag-o-tricks, Rush mocking the disabled, and the tireless drone of distortion from Fox News could mask the massive incompetence and systemic failures of BushCo. It wasn't the media, dude. The people are absolutely, totally fed up with Republican misdeeds.

All terrorists are evil -- or was that a trick question? But maybe now (with some Congressional oversight) we will more actively pursue catching those who actually attacked us on 9-ll instead of sowing more like dragon's teeth in Iraq -- a country that had no WMDs and never threatened our national security -- but, as we learned from the Downing Street Memos, did have "better targets."

And, right. Humane treatment doesn't apply to captured terrorists -- because Bush waved his Decider wand and changed their name to "enemy combatants." And this sleight of syntax allows the "land of liberty" to somehow torture others without those inconvenient pangs of conscience.

The Dems wear the crown now, so they do have to take constructive actions and avoid the pitfalls the Repubs dug with such relish. If the Dems fail, well, the voters are waiting with steely knives in '08. But you've condemned the Dems before they've even moved into their offices.

But why am I bothering? All of this is probably too looney for you -- out there somewhere on the Net -- slurping up the Free Republic kool-aid -- surfing on your waterboard...
