Reducing the soul to sperm and egg
Offends holy rollers whose yeast
Rises on Friday to be blessed by Sunday
Sermons on sin and resurrection.
There is no Holy Ghost in the womb,
Only ontology, with gestation periods
And bleeding to offend John Calvin
Since none of it comes from Christ's wounds.
This chemical disconnect was engineered
By experiments in a Petri dish
Over blessed wafers from a sperm donor
Whose wife's piñata yearns to be burst.
