In which I have lived like a foot
For thirty years, poor and white,
Barely daring to breathe or Achoo.

Dr. Mike said...

Mash Up

Acolytes of the Almighty
Dollar squeeze
That eagle’s talons
As they hurtle above
The gaping maw
Of the Grand Canyon.

Confidence is a con
With fun-house mirrors
That distorts health care,
Shelter, and nourishment,
Undermining values
Of whatever is needed.

Herds of cattle rumble,
Panic, and plunge
For safety in numbers,
While rhinestone herders
Burn paper money
For the value of smoke and ash.
