Deconstructed Flamingo

Deconstructed Flamingo

Deconstructed Flamingo (2001)

Blog with a View, at heart, is a digital art photoblog. Each Wednesday, I present an image without the usual annotation/explanation.

As I note in the blog's description, please feel free to talk back to the art, or, if you wish, use this post as a weekly open thread.

Devil Doll has lost her tutu, but Mama Zulu still has gris-gris on her toucan that bites stray vacationers when the party turns to rough trade on the beach. Love becomes most endearing when it turns violent. Nothing spawns compassion more than loose teeth after a brawl. Blood is what the natives crave, and they invoke their religion every time they have to buy guns.

Torches make poor limbo bars and set many a grass skirt ablaze. That puny umbrella in the pretty drink wasn't much good in the monsoon. And will you take that toothpick out of my likeness' eye, Chief? I feel like Long John Silver with an Excedrin headache after a head shot. The soon-to-be-deported parrot on my shoulder suggested the vicar should fuck off. The Colonel told it to Shut up. He had a Wal-Mart sack filled with ears and limes.
